LED light bars are a super-easy way to add some extra-bright and colorful illumination to your project. Each light bar is essentially made of LED chips, reflectors or projector lens, the circuits of the electricity and the housing. They’re offered in a variety of colors including white, amber, red, blue, and green in a different use. Mainly, you can choose white or amber for driving lights.
While these bars are very simple devices, they do have a few questions when it comes to using them. Like the fact that their nominal operating voltage is 12V. In this tutorial, we’ll go over the installation process of the 23inch 126W Cree LED Light Bars.
When installing the 23inch 126W Cree LED light bar on the bumper, you need to remove the old lights installing on the bumper if you have ones. If you do not install any light bars on the bumper, you may have to drill some holes on the bumper. You need to use the LED light bars to measure where to drill the holes.
Before installing the LED light bar on the bumper, you need to hoop the brackets up. First, put the nuts inside the back groove of the light bar. These nuts are supposed to tighten the small black square brackets. You can see in the picture below. When installing the two of them, you can screw them loose a little bit to measure the place you want to install. Since the Ford in the video have already been installing driving lights and has some holes, the LED light bar can be simply installed right on the holes.
Then you need to install the light bar on the bumper. First, you need to use the other brackets which can adjust the angle of the light bars. Adjust the angle you need and tighten up with bolts and nuts. While finished installing the brackets on the light bar, you can directly install the LED light bar on the bumper.
After installing the light bar on the bumper, you need to connect the LED light bar to the power system of the vehicle system. Remember, you need to cut off the electricity before the connection.
In facts, this light bar has three styles to install, since it comes with both the side brackets and the bottom brackets. You can use either or both the brackets if you like. The installation will be pretty easy.
